Albert Einstein

A German-Swiss-American theoretical physicist, he created the theories of relativity and won the 1921 Nobel Prize. A Jewish refugee from Nazism in 1933, he was a pacifist, a declared socialist in "Why Socialism?," and an advocate of world government and civil rights.
